This letter provides as much information as possible detailing the situation with the behaviour shown by Neko Scans over the last couple of days.

An update for those who might have been curious about the situation with the Diabolik Lovers Anthology scanlations and the Amnesia Later Anthology chapter scans being uploaded to various manga aggregators.

I really wanted to send out a big thank you to all the fangirls over here. (I even joined tumblr for you.) You guys are amazing and awesome with how on top of the situation you were. Internet hugs for everyone.

I’ve gone back and reformatted the whole anthology, and the couple of chapters I had done of the Amnesia Later Anthology, to be some nice shiney new credits on them. If anyone is up for playing manga aggregator fairy I’d love a hand figuring out how to get these things uploaded properly, under the right titles this time, rather than let someone have a temper tantrum and ruin things for everyone.

In fact I don’t see why or how HIrakawa-san is popular.  He doesn’t deserve it with the popular “abusive” roles he does.

this was a response to some post about Hirakawa voicing Laito in Dialovers… just a few things:

• seiyuu generally don’t get to pick their roles. they do what they’re hired to do—that’s how they make money.
• if you really find some of Hirakawa’s characters so creepy and abusive, it means he did a good job voicing them. maybe because he’s a voice ACTOR oooooh wow what a concept. characters like Laito are meant to be dangerous and abusive. if that came across, it means Hirakawa is a talented voice actor who is able to capture all of those nuances. (protip: he is)
• “popular ‘abusive’ roles”???? I think most seiyuu have done at least one do-S or at least kind of an assholeish character. so if you don’t like Hirakawa on that basis, you really shouldn’t like any of them. and by the way, Hirakawa has voiced plenty of characters who aren’t abusive, who are patient and understanding and kind. in fact, before Dialovers, that was mainly what I was used to: him being soft-hearted, gentle types. surely he does have quite a few do-S roles, but that’s not all he’s ever done. even if do-S characters really were all he’d done… GO BACK TO BULLET POINT NUMBER ONE.
• just because you don’t understand how someone can be popular doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve it. the fact that they’re popular means that many other people think that they are worthy of it. you have no say in the matter. naturally you’d say he doesn’t deserve it, as clearly you have no concept of his worth or strong points.

man, I really hate it when people bag on actors for the roles they portray. dude, if you really hate a character that much, it means their actor did a really good job???? e_e

Yes, perfection. Listen to the wise words of Jello, man. Ship who you want to ship but don’t hate on characters for getting in the way of your ship. Hate them for being terrible characters but you better damn well be able to back up your reasoning soundly if you think they’re a terrible character /o/
